Collaborate
I occasionally take on scoped projects, research support, tutoring, and workshops when the fit is good.
Why this page exists
This page is here so I can answer "do you do this for other people too?" once, clearly, without turning it into theater.
This page exists mostly so I have somewhere to point people when they ask whether I do this for other humans too. The answer is: sometimes, yes.
I am most useful when the problem is real, the scope is clear, and the data are messy in an interesting way rather than a cursed way.
Ways I Can Help
Environmental data and remote sensing
Short-term help with spatial analysis, satellite imagery workflows, data wrangling, reproducible pipelines, and exploratory dashboards.
Research support
Method advice, workflow design, code cleanup, visualization, and turning a half-finished analysis into something another person can actually follow.
Tutoring and mentoring
Python, R, data visualization, reproducible research, remote sensing basics, and general “why is this script doing that” troubleshooting.
Talks and workshops
Practical sessions on environmental data work, Quarto, mapping, reproducibility, or communicating technical results clearly.
Good Fit
- Mission-driven research, public-interest projects, and environmental work
- Scoped collaborations, advising, tutoring, or short workshops
- People who want honest communication, clean handoffs, and less theater
Probably Not A Good Fit
- Miracle timelines
- Vague “can you AI this?” requests
- Projects that really need a full agency or a full-time hire
- Work that wants polish but not substance
Logistics
I am a MEDS candidate at UCSB, so my availability is limited and changes with the quarter. If you reach out, it helps to include:
- what you are working on
- what kind of help you want
- timeline
- whether you already have data, code, or materials
Contact
If it sounds like a fit, I can usually tell you quickly whether I have capacity.
